Transformation Of A Dutch Roof Terrace With Walk On Rooflights

A Dutch Roof Terrace With Walk On Rooflights

‘Walk on glass, isn’t that expensive?’
Well, to make glass walkable it must be strong: Extra thick and laminated. That makes walk on rooflights more expensive than glass from a normal rooflight. But with the smart use of our standard sizes, you can transform your roof terrace with walk on glass on a budget price. Studio Bochanen designed a beautiful terrace integrating six pieces of Glazing Vision standard size walk on rooflights.

A Luxurious Roof Terrace With Different Zones

On the roof of a former workshop in the center of Delft, a luxurious roof terrace has been realized with various zones. Thanks to the walk on rooflights, enough light enters the former workshop, which is added to the home as a multifunctional living space.

Minimal Design And Clear Structure

The terrace area of 130m2 is divided by a clear structure and the use of materials. The minimal design of the walk on rooflights ensures that the glass elements are seamlessly integrated into the roof terrace design. The terrace is converted into four zones: lounging, to dining, to gardening. Lighting in the stair treads, the wooden deck and the planters add extra value.

Flush In The Floor

Walk on rooflights using Flushglaze technology are designed to be installed flush with external flooring, weather it’s a green roof or a wooden deck.
