Change in the leadership of Aluplast
Manfred J. Seitz, founder of the plastic window system house aluplast, is somewhat shorter. About ten years after he handed over the management to his sons, Dirk and Patrick Seitz, he passes on his position as chairman of the advisory board.
“After 35 years at the helm of the aluplast group, it’s time to take things a little easier, and in order to make aluplast fit for the future, we’ve been establishing an independent oversight body with the advisory board for some time,” she explains the 80-year-old.
Advisory Council powers extended
Dirk Seitz will take over the chair in autumn 2018. “With my son at the helm, we ensure the consistent development of the aluplast Group and are optimistic and optimally positioned for the future,” continues Manfred J. Seitz.
With the handing over of the advisory board chair, the competences of the committee are extended. In the future, the management and the advisory board will jointly develop the strategic guidelines for expansion and location development.
In addition, Dirk Seitz takes the areas of “Strategic Purchasing” and “Personnel Marketing and Development” into the holding company. The change is not surprising and was planned by long hand. Over the past few months, corporate governance has been gradually rebuilt and operational responsibility has been shared among different individuals.
Focus on growth abroad
The aluplast Group’s new spokesman will be Eric Bobay, who has previously been responsible for business development and the US new company. “I look forward to being the CEO of the company in the future, and together with our employees, my management colleagues and the Advisory Board, we want to further expand our position as an innovation leader both nationally and internationally,” explains Eric Bobay.
Dirk Seitz adds: “As a Baden-based family-owned company, we owe our success above all to our employees, who work all over the world. They have shaped the success story of aluplast with great passion. The future will be about growing and growing abroad to further expand our innovation leadership in the successful markets – also in order to secure Karlsruhe as a business location in the long term. “
Selection of the best possible candidates
For the shareholders, it has always been important that the management is not alone with family members, but with the best possible candidates.
In addition to Eric Bobay, the management of aluplast GmbH will be completed by Patrick Seitz (Sales, Systems Engineering and Marketing), Arne Przybilla (Finance and Controlling) and Frank Spies (Production and Site Development). Manfred J. Seitz will continue to play an active role as a member of the Advisory Board and drive forward the further development of the aluplast Group.
