Laser machine builder 4JET Microtech has opened a new site for the precision machining of glass, thin films and electronic components.

In the new production building in Prutting near Rosenheim, 4JET is now using a portfolio of precision laser systems for glass processing as well as analytics. The company from Alsdorf near Aachen has been offering a job shop, or subcontracting for separating and structuring glass, since 2016 with “MicroFab”. By opening the new site, the company is expanding its capabilities, including free-form cutting of glass with the gap-free Pearl Cut process.

Other services include a service for the large-scale structuring of ITO coatings or the laser drilling of brittle materials. Customers can qualify machined components in the company’s own measuring room with light and surface microscopy and break tester. Optionally, the company also offers a final inspection, post-cleaning, packaging and logistics.
